Finally, someone is putting a stop to the rude and unlawful practice.
“Quezon City Police District (QCPD) director Chief Superintendent Richard Albano, has banned police officers from making the rounds of streets at night to prevent the racket of catching lovers in intimate acts inside their parked vehicles,” reports Reinir Padua in The Philippine Star.
Albano was quoted as saying, “That is not our priority. Our priority is the anti-crime campaign.”
Albano issued the directive to the QCPD’s 12 police station commanders as some unscrupulous cops on night patrols intimidate couples and threaten to take them to the police station unless they pay certain fees.
Bottom line: Leave those couples alone!
