QC allots almost PHP22 million to Leyte town

Is Quezon City generous or what?

“The Quezon City local government has allotted close to PHP22 million for the reconstruction of the municipal hall complex of Santa Fe in Leyte that was damaged by Typhoon Yolanda last year,” reports Chito A. Chavez in Manila Bulletin.

In particular, tt was 2nd District Councilor Ranulfo Ludovica who filed a proposed resolution that “authorized Mayor Herbert Bautista to release PHP21.96 million for the reconstruction of Santa Fe’s old town hall, Sangguniang Bayan building, Mayor’s Office building, and the municipal public market.”

The Leyte towns of Santa Fe, Palompon, and Tolosa have been adopted by the Quezon City government following the onslaught of the typhoon.

Last year, QC had sent a 100-man contingent to the said areas. They brought relief goods, medical supplies, and engineering equipment.
