“Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa, Jr. said the PHP15 million budget allotted for President Noynoy Aquino’s trip to attend the 40th ASEAN-Japan Commemorative Summit in Tokyo, Japan covers transportation, accommodation, food and equipment, among other requirements,” reports Madel Sabater-Namit in the Manila Bulletin.
The report revealed that Aquino, along with his 57-member official delegation, left on Thursday morning, Dec 12, via a chartered flight. The President is expected to return to Manila on Dec 15.
His delegation included Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert Del Rosario, Finance Secretary Cesar Purisima, Trade Secretary Gregory Domingo, Transportation and Communications Secretary Emilio Abaya, Presidential Management Staff head Julia Andrea Abad, Presidential Protocol chief Celia Anna Feria, and Press Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr.
