Even after the controversy sparked by Isabelle Duterte’s pre-debut photo shoot in Malacañang last month, it looks like the debut is still on.
The presidential granddaugther’s pre-debut video was released on Facebook on Tuesday by Gianne Carlo Chua visuals.
The post’s caption reads: “A short, sweet, and simple 18th birthday save the date video for the President’s granddaughter Isabelle Duterte.”
The video was shot in Australia and only features Isabelle. Some parts of the video were clearly shot by drones.
Many netizens reacted negatively to the photo shoot last month, calling it extravagant.
After Isabelle said that anyone could book a photo shoot at Malacañang, a parody page called Malacañang Events and Catering Services was created, “opening up” the palace for event bookings.
Isabelle is the daughter of recently-resigned Davao Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte. He resigned on Christmas Day after a public social media spat with his daughter.
He called her a “disgrace” and reacted to her daughter criticizing him on her Twitter account.
Isabelle’s Twitter account is currently private, while her father had deleted his personal Facebook page after the incident.
The young Duterte is an aspiring actress who is currently managed by Annabelle Rama.
