Pres. Duterte still the most approved and trusted public official in PH

This isn’t really a surprise.

President Rodrigo Duterte received an impressive 86 percent rating in terms of approval and trust in the recently published survey by Pulse Asia.

The poll surveyed 1,200 adult Filipinos from Sep 25 to Oct 1, 2016.

Duterte got the highest approval rating from his domain Mindanao where he got 93 percent, while he received 81 percent in Metro Manila.

While 81 percent is still high, this is a significant drop from his 91 percent rating during his first month in office (Jul 2016).

But this drop could also be attributed to the “+/- 3%” margin of error, according to a PhilStar report.

Only three percent of the respondents said they do not approve Duterte’s performance, while 11 percent are still undecided.

Meanwhile, Vice President Leni Robredo got an approval rating of 66 percent, Senate President Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III received an approval rating of 61 percent, Speaker of the House Pantaleon Alvarez got 43 percent, and Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno received 46 percent.
