We love puns, especially those tied to current events. So when we saw People Journal’s headline, “Power punch kills janitor“, two days after the Pacquiao-Rios fight, we just had to tell you about it.
“A 32-year-old janitor died from a strong punch in the face by his long-time enemy Sunday afternoon in Pasay City,” reports Edd Reyes.
The suspect, Antonio Partosa, punched his apparent nemesis, Edwin Angeles, so hard that the victim fell to the ground and hit his head on the pavement. Angeles died of brain hemmorhage while being treated at a local hospital.
Investigators said Angeles had been drunk and broke the electric meter of his house, which woke up his neighbor Modesto Guilino Jr. A fight ensued between Guilino and Angeles, but was pacified by barangay watchmen.
All of sudden while Partosa was pulled to the side, Partosa threw a fist at Angeles, who was blindsided, sending the victim to the ground.
Guilino surrendered to authorities while Partosa is still wanted.
