He sends hope with his words.

“Pope Francis, his entourage, and Vatican-accredited media including 14 Filipino journalists, arrived in Rome’s Ciampino Airport at about 5:26 p.m., Monday, January 19, (12:26 a.m. Manila time), the Vatican Radio announced. The papal entourage left Villamor Air Base in Pasay City on board “Shepherd One,” a special Philippine Air Lines flight, at 10:12 a.m. last Monday, January 19,” reports  Christina Hermoso in Tempo.

The report then cited information from Vatican Radio, which revealed that Pope Francis had sent a telegram to President Noynoy Aquino.

Pope Francis’ message to Aquino is as follows: “As I depart from the Philippines, I extend to you, the government and all the people of the nation my heartfelt gratitude for your warm welcome and every kindness shown to me during my visit. I renew to Your Excellency and the entire country the assurance of my prayers for peace and prosperity.”
