A dude has gone viral after he did something very few among us would ever dare to do — hand over a pack of wet wipes to a complete stranger sitting in the toilet at the next cubicle.
Netizen Kyle Marx Capellan (@kylmarxsc), an 18-year-old student at the University of Santo Tomas, took to social media to recount going to the school’s Tan Yan Kee (TYK) building to, ahem, drop the ol’ kids off at the pool on Tuesday.
“Someone pooped at the same time that I did at TYK,” he tweeted in Filipino and English. “There was no bidet so I gave him wipes. Whore accepted it. I now have a poop buddy.”
You can watch the act of kindness (or creepiness, depending on your personal threshold for bathroom banter) for yourself below. Capellan can be heard in the video saying, “Brother, do you need wipes?” before the guy in the other cubicle accepts the offering.

The tweet, shared nearly 5,000 times, was a social media coup for Capellan, who has since earned a legion of fans.
In an interview with Coconuts Manila, Capellan said he felt the need to, shall we say, get something down on paper at around 1pm. He went to TYK because a friend told him the washrooms there had bidets but, upon arriving, discovered that he had been misled.
“I didn’t have time to look for another washroom that had a bidet so I just stayed there,” he said in English and Filipino. “Fast forward, when I was almost done, someone suddenly occupied the cubicle next to mine.”
Capellan had a gut feeling that the other guy was dropping a D, too. “I didn’t smell anything bad but I felt he was taking a dump because he was sitting on the toilet for so long,” he said.
“I thought maybe he didn’t have wipes. I was so embarrassed so I chatted with my friends in our group chat to ask for encouragement.”
When his friends gave him the go-ahead, he passed the stranger his packet of wipes. “I was so surprised at his reaction,” Capellan said. “While I was fixing myself up I couldn’t help but laugh. I wanted to ask for my wipes back but I was too embarrassed.”
“And then I thought of waiting for him to leave the cubicle but I was super embarrassed and I wouldn’t know how to react if I saw him. So I ended up leaving.”
Naturally, netizens swooned for Capellan’s video.
“I hope everyone gives wipes, huhu. Ur a blessing tho,” joked @whipittinnn.
“[Y]ou just saved an ass lol,” said @whothefukisgab.
Fellow Twitter user @jeiannburac said they “hope everyone gets a poop buddy.”
We personally believe Capellan deserves to be thanked for his service, but would you have done the same? Let us know in the comments below or by tweeting to @CoconutsManila.
