“PO3 Gerardo Granado, 47 was hospitalized due to head injuries he sustained when he was attacked by suspected car thieves who took his vehicle that was parked in front of his house in Quezon City on Monday morning, February 23,” reports Melnie Ragasa-Jimena on Journal Online.
Granado — who is detailed at Quezon City Police District-Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (QCPD-CIDU) warrant section — was attacked by two armed suspects who took his Tamaraw FX (TSY-202), which he hadparked in front of the victim’s house on Regalado Avenue in Bgy. Pasong Putik.
The report noted: “Granado said he was getting some things inside the vehicle when the two suspects suddenly appeared. One of the suspects reportedly strangled him, while the other hit him in the head. Then the suspects fled onboard Granado’s vehicle leaving him unconscious.”
Granado’s service firearm was also taken by the suspects.
The investigation is ongoing.
