Well, this is awkward.
A police station in Balete, Aklan is currently trying to figure out who hacked their Facebook account and replaced their profile photo with a picture of a scantily clad woman.
The police station first found out about the alleged breach on Wednesday after one of its personnel tried to access the Facebook account but failed, SPO3 Jeric Dadivas told Coconuts Manila today.
Dadivas said that the profile photo of the page “Balete Pnp Taga Protekta” was only changed at around 12:26am yesterday.
Upon checking today, Coconuts Manila found that the photo of the woman is still up. It shows the woman sitting with her legs open while wearing a gray nightgown and hot pink bra.
According to Dadivas, they have no idea who the woman is.
In an interview with radio station Bombo Radyo, SPO2 Ismael Panganonong of the Balete police requested the public to just block the Facebook page for now because they are still unable to access it, Bombo Radyo wrote.
The Philippine Star wrote that the police station also tried to access their email account but was unable to do so.
The town’s police chief Inspector Liezel Goboy told the newspaper that they will report the incident after downloading photos and other documents posted on the Facebook account.
According to the same report, an investigation showed that the hacker is in Victorias City, Negros Occidental.
