Resend: Just-released man is going back to jail

There’s a saying that goes “fishes get caught on their mouths.” This criminal got caught with a confession he made during an interrogation.

An 18-year-old man who had been recently released from jail for illegally keeping a weapon in Valenzuela City is making a return trip to the slammer after authorities learned he is being hunted down for a more serious charge.

Arlan Joseph Amoyan is wanted for murder in his hometown in Bayawan City, Negros Oriental, according to investigators. Police said Amoyan was arrested in August for carrying a knife in public.

Investigators became curious when the suspect told them during an interrogation that he had been hiding from something, reports Nathaniel R. Melican in Philippine Daily Inquirer. Upon checking with their counterparts in Bayawan City, police learned about the murder charge against Amoyan, who is accused of killing his brother in law.
