You’ll be enraged when you find out who these car thieves are in cahoots with.
“On Monday, Jan 26, three carjackers—identified as Danilo Domingo, Mhervin Quimino, and Benny Maco—were arrested during a raid by policemen from Calamba, Laguna at a ‘chop-chop compound’ for stolen vehicles located in 1661 Oroquieta Street in Sta. Cruz, Manila,” reports Jaime Sinapit on InterAksyon.com.
Laguna provincial police director Senior Supt. Pascual Munoz said his men recovered the stolen Mitsubishi truck (UCB-997) that belonged to Calamba businessman Remigion Lanceta. Unfortunately, some of his vehicle’s parts were already missing.
According to the report, “Calamba police chief Supt. Marvin Joe Saro sent a team headed by Inspector Jollymar Seloterio to bust the compound located at that resulted in the arrest of the suspects.
Unfortunately, though, the carjackers’ two accomplices—a barangay kagawad and the chief of a fire volunteer group—were able to evade arrest.
Saro revealed, “A certain William Lee, allegedly the chief of Central Quiapo Fire Volunteer, is the one who ordered the conversion of the stolen vehicle into a fire truck.” Meanwhile, the barangay kagawad was identified as Jack Mar Macabalug.
