A police official was shot dead today by unknown assailants riding a motorcycle in Makati City.
Maj. Jeffrey Dalson, who works at Camp Crame in Quezon City, was inside his parked Ford Everest on J.P. Rizal Extension when two men rode up on a motorcycle at about 7am, the Daily Tribune reports.
One of the men disembarked from the motorcycle, stood in front of Dalson, and shot him seven times, ABS-CBN News reports. Dalson died on the spot.
Philippine National Police Chief Gen. Archie Gamboa, who said he did not recall personally working with Dalson in Camp Crame, said he would have his killing investigated.
“I still have to find out, but the PNP will investigate on that shooting,” he said in a presser today.
