Metro Manila police have until November to lower crime rates in five “street crime hots pots” across the metropolis.
This, after Chief Superintedent Marcelo Garbo Jr, National Capital Region Police Office director, ordered district directors and station commanders to lower the incidence of crime in the hotspots by 80 percent in three months.
The NCRPO has tagged Baclaran, EDSA Taft Avenue, and Buendia in Pasay, Kalentong in Mandaluyong, Cubao and E. Rodriguez in Quezon City, Monumento in Caloocan City, and University Belt in the City of Manila as crime hot spots.
Garbo has also asked the public to help cops in Metro Manila lowe the crime rate and make sure criminals are brought to justice. NCRPO has launched accounts on Twitter and Facebook to make it easier for the public to report crimes, Pilipino Star Ngayon reports.
