A Philippine National Railways train ran over a man near Beata Station in Pandacan, Manila early Monday morning. Authorities are looking into whether it was suicide.
A Radio DZMM report says police have found witnesses who said Confucius Ephraim Peralta was killed when he jumped off the platform and was run over by a train from Tutuban. Other witnesses say he slipped because the platform was crowdd and rain had made the floor slippery.
Peralta may have been a student because he was wearing a uniform, the report said.
