Last week, a poster announcing the search for bank teller Tanya Camille Dee made the rounds online. According to her family, the mother of two was last seen on Jun 20.
The details
Then, on Sat, Jun 27, the search came to an end as Dee’s body was found in a shallow grave at the back of a house along Lilian Street in Barangay Balibago, Angeles City on Sat night, Jun 27. Her family confirmed the body’s identity.
Dee went missing after allegedly seeing her former husband Fidel Sheldon Arcenas and his girlfriend, Angela Tinio Dychioco. In fact, the unit along Lilian Street is said to be owned by Dychioco’s mother, Regina. Various reports say it was Regina who alerted the cops about the possible shallow grave.
The Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) tagged Arcenas as a “person of interest.”
The CIDG said the house where Dee’s remains were found belongs to the parents of Dychioco.
“They (Arcenas and Dychioco) borrowed the keys to that house. So, we had this feeling that they may have hidden Dee there,” said Chief Inspector Ferdinand Aguilar, head of PNP-CIDG Pampanga.
CCTV footage released
on Mon, Jun 29, the PNP-CIDG released a closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera footage showing a slain bank teller accompanied by her former husband.
In the CCTV footage, Dee is seen entering a Japanese restaurant in Angeles City, Pampanga with Arcenas on Jun 20, the same day she was last seen by her relative.
The footage shows Dee slightly ahead of Arcenas inside the restaurant. The are seen entering the VIP lounge of the restaurant.
The CCTV footage proves that Arcenas had seen Dee that day. Dee’s relatives had claimed that when they were still looking for her, they asked Arcenas where she was. At that time, he reportedly replied that he didn’t know where she was. —from reports by Trisha Mostoles, ABS-CBN News Pampanga
