“A Philippine National Police (PNP) handout released on Sunday, December 21, shows a combination of mug shots of US Marine Joseph Scott Pemberton taken at police headquarters after his appearance in court in Olongapo City on Friday, December 19,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.

Pemberton is accused of killing transgender Jennifer Laude at an Olongapo City motel last Oct.
The report noted: “Pemberton appeared in court for the first time last week, as his lawyers sought the suspension of the trial, in a case that could test the strength of security ties between the US and the Philippines.”
Pemberton is currently detained in Camp Aguinaldo.
