PNP releases “idiot’s guide” for cops

If you come up with an idiot’s guide, does it mean you’re also admitting a lot of your people are idiots? (Hey, we’re just using their words.)

On Wednesday, Mar 18, the Philippine National Police (PNP) police operational procedures was launched “to help investigators avoid lapses that could undermine efforts to solve crimes,” reports Nikko Dizon in the Philippine Daily Inquirer.

General Alan Purisima said, referring to the Revised Police Operational Procedures Manual 2013 Edition, was quotated as saying, “You may consider it an idiot’s guide, which means we simplified everything for our policemen to understand the operational procedures.”

Enough said.
