PNP records 61 firecracker, gun-related incidents since Dec 16

The New Year celebrations are not yet in full force, but a lot of Pinoys have already gotten hurt.

“Since December 16, the Philippine National Police (PNP) has recorded 61 firecracker and gun-related incidents ahead of the New Year revelry,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.

There were 39 incidents of illegal possession, use, and sale of firecrackers. The rest involved stray bullets and the illegal discharge of firearms.

The report noted: “So far, the PNP has confiscated over PHP600,000 worth of illegal firecrackers.”
