At around noon on Mon, Sep 7, an ambulance driver sought help from the members of the Philippine National Police (PNP)-Highway Patrol Group (HPG) along EDSA. The ambulance driver said he had run-in with the driver of a Toyota Corolla, who pointed a gun at him.
PNP-HPG members were able to locate the car and flagged it down. The driver who had pointed a gun at the ambulance driver was identified as SPO3 Ricardo Somera of PNP-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Region 3.
According to initial findings, Somera got pissed when he thought the ambulance grazed his car. He went down and pointed the gun at the ambulance driver.
Somera was take into custody and is expected to face the necessary charges for what he did. (from a TV Patrol report)
