“The Philippine National Police (PNP) has started meeting with various government and non-government agencies to expedite the implementation of its CCTV installation project in crime prone areas in Metro Manila,” reports Dennis Carcamo on Philstar.com.
The PNP aims to maximize the effectiveness of their Oplan “Lambat/Sibat” anti-crime drive.
The report noted: “The project is the continuation of the initial installation of four CCTVs on each 38 police stations and five police district offices completed last January 20.”
The report went on to say that “the project is expected to be completed by second week of April 2015 for Metro Manila.” It will then be “replicated in highly urbanized areas nationwide to complement crime prevention and solution.”
