On Mon, Oct 24, Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa revealed that the names of 30 celebrities were on the most recent drugs watchlist that he submitted to Malacañang.
According to a PEP report, the list came from the PNP’s National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO).
Dela Rosa was quoted as saying, “Yung listahan na nakarating sa akin, lalo na yung galing sa NCRPO, ipinasa ko na sa Malacañang at idagdag na iyon sa listahan ni Presidente (The list that was submitted to me was from NCRPO and I submitted it to Malacañang).”
Dela Rosa explained that the celebrity drugs watchlist is based on the testimonies of alleged drug suppliers.
“Hintayin na lang natin kung ia-announce ni Presidente yun or ayaw niya ia-announce (Let’s just wait and see if the President will announce it or if he doesn’t want to announce it),” Dela Rosa added.
