PNoy welcomes Duterte at Palace

He was not in a checkered shirt. Instead, he looked elegant in a barong.

At 10:25am, President-elect Rodrigo Duterte arrived at Malacañan Palace, less than two hours before he was to take his oath as the 16th President of the Republic of the Philippines.

“Duterte was wearing a barong Tagalog made from piña jusi fabric paired with black pure cotton pants,” reports Nestor Corrales on Inquirer.net.

Duerte proceeded to have a talk with outgoing President Noynoy Aquino, who was expected to head back to his Quezon City home on Times Street after his departure honors.
