PNoy says PH will be “boring” without problems

There’s a reason why our dear President doesn’t host his own late-night show: he still needs to work on his comic timing.

With all the brouhaha that ensues over the things he says (and doesn’t say) and does (or fails to do), is it really wise for President Noynoy Aquino to be making quips that could be easily misconstrued?

“In his speech during Sunday’s visit at Compostela Valley, Aquino said his administration is already used to facing the nation’s overlapping problems like Typhoons Pablo and Yolanda that hit the country in the last two years,” reports Louis Bacani on Philstar.com.

The president was also in Compostela Valley to see for himself the shelters and houses built in the areas hit by Typhoon Pablo in 2012.

Addressing his Cabinet members, Aquino jokingly said, “Tatandaan ninyo ‘pag dumating ang panahong wala tayong problema, iyon naman ang problema. Dahil magiging boring na (You have to remember that when the time comes when have no more problems, then that will be the problem. Because it will be boring).” He then added that it would also be ideal if things weren’t “too interesting” or “too exciting.”

So, do his comments rub people the wrong way?
