“In in his privilege speech on Monday, Jan 20, Sen. Bong Revilla accused President Noynoy Aquino and Interior Secretary Mar Roxas of interfering in the impeachment of Corona, which led to the latter’s ouster in 2012,” reports Jojo Malig on ABS-CBNnews.com.
Revilla claimed that Aquino had said, “Pare, parang awa mo na. Ibalato mo na sa akin ito. Kailangan siyang ma-impeach (Man, please have pity. Do me this favor. He needs to be impeached).”

In a one-on-one interview with Boy Abunda that aired Tuesday night on newscast Bandila, Aquino dismissed Revilla’s claims. “It’s not my dialogue,” he said. “Anong hinihingi ko, balato? Nagsabong ba siya at nanalo s’ya? (Why would I ask him for a favor? Did he join a cockfighting derby and win)? This is a serious no.”
Er, where did that cockfighting reference come from?
