The hits just keep on coming.
“President Noynoy Aquino is facing a fourth impeachment complaint, the latest development as the House of Representatives’ Justice committee prepares to start the proceedings this week,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.
In a statement, ACT Teachers party-list Rep. Antonio Tinio explained that this latest impeachment complaint “will be anchored on the use of the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF).”
Tinio—a direct complainant in the case—was quoted as saying, “We have strong evidence to show that President Aquino is responsible for perpetuating Congressional pork despite the Supreme Court prohibition.”
Last month, three impeachment complaints were filed against Aquino. The first and second were in connection with the Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP). The third one was connected to the Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement (EDCA), which the government signed with the United States.
