On Monday, May 19, President Noynoy Aquino III admitted that he once asked former senator and current rehabilitation czar Ping Lacson via text, “Ping, bakit ba puro itong Napoles list ang nadidikit sa pangalan mo (Ping, why is the Napoles list always associated with you)?”
“The President said Lacson explained to him that there were times when he would be invited to talk about rehabilitation efforts but in the end will be asked about Napoles’ list,” reports Kristine Angeli Sabillo on Inquirer.net.
Aquino then asked, “Siya ba ang nagko-concentrate doon sa Napoles o ang media nagko-concentrate sa Napoles (Is he the one concentrating on Napoles or it is the media focused on the issues pertaining to Napoles)?”
Aquino then said that he was satisfied with Lacson’s performance in the post-Typhoon Yolanda rehabilitation projects.
