REDWOOD CITY, California – A Filipino priest wanted by police in Oregon for installing a hidden camera inside a church men’s restroom is on the run.

A warrant of arrest has been issued for Father Ysrael Bien on charges of personal invasion of privacy, tampering with physical evidence, and initiating a false police report.

Authorities believe he has fled to the Philippines.

The Bicolano priest is accused of installing a hidden camera within the wall socket of a men’s restroom at the St. Francis Catholic Church in Sherwood, Oregon.

According to authorities, after a 15-year-old boy found the hidden camera and brought it to Bien on April 26, Bien told an elaborate lie about a fake police investigation that never occurred.

Police eventually discovered a receipt showing a spy camera purchased under Bien’s name.
