Pinoy with expired U.S. visa kills 3 men in Ohio bar

The name of the bar was an indication of how badly things would turn out.

“Over the weekend, at the Last Call Bar in Fremont, Ohio, 33-year-old Igmidio Mista shot dead three people,” reports the Balitang America Staff on ABS-CBNnews.com.

Mista killed Off-duty police officer Jose Andy Chavez (who was celebrating his birthday), bartender Ramiro Sanchez, and another customer named Daniel Ramirez.

The attack reportedly occurred after Mista got into an argument with Chavez’s wife. He ended up punching the woman in the face. He left the bar for a while but then he came back after a few minutes with a gun. He then started shooting, aiming at anyone in the bar.

Mista fled from the scene. He was finally found by the police on Monday, Mar 10, hiding in a relative’s home. Mista, who is facing murder charges, has a preliminary hearing set on Mar 20.

The report said Mista is “a Filipino national with an expired U.S. visa.”
