Pia Cayetano asks AirAsia Zest to apologize for sexist radio ad

We haven’t heard the ad ourselves. (Does anybody know where we can listen to it?) But now we want to so we’ll know why Senator Pia Cayetano is so enraged by it.

“Cayetano has pressed on the AirAsia Zest to make a public apology over its ‘offensive’ and ‘downgrading portrayal of women’ in its radio advertisement,” reports Charissa Luci in the Manila Bulletin.

Cayetano reportedly made the call during the plenary session on Monday, Mar 3. She said, “Over the weekend, I received information about a promo running on the radio and although I did not hear it myself I had an access to a Facebook post of a man who was offended by it. I immediately called upon this company, AirAsia Zest to issue a public apology.”

For the record, a recording of the said radio ad was played at the plenary session.
