We know they’re counterfeit but still, what a waste!

“The Bureau of Customs (BOC) on Tuesday, February 24, destroyed PHP50 million worth of fake footwear products of well-known brands at the Harbor Center in Manila,” reports Raymund F. Antonio in Manila Bulletin.

The report noted: “The shredding of the counterfeit shoes and slippers came after no one appeared before the BOC to claim the items.”

The report added that “the condemned fake shoes and slippers included imitations of an array of brands such as Nike, Adidas, Converse, Sketchers, The North Face, Lacoste, Vans, Havaianas, Ipanema, among others.”

Representatives from legitimate manufacturers of the said brands witnessed the actual condemnation.
