The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) reported that at least P250 million worth of illegal drugs were seized at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) last year.
This was according to PDEA director general Arturo Cacdac Jr., who spoke during the launch of the NAIA Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Force operations center at Terminal 3 on Friday.
The Philippine Star report quoted lawyer Ronnie Cudia of the airport interdiction unit who said the agency confiscated around 50 kilograms of shabu from 28 persons passing through NAIA last year.
