Cookie Monster is a character from the beloved children’s show Sesame Street. To some, his face is a disguise for drugs.
PHP15 million worth of blue “Cookie Monster” Ecstacy pills, as well as a pink variant, were seized in a raid on Fri evening, May 20. Arrested in the entrapment operation was Martin De Fong.
The Dutch national was identified by an informant at Rogue’s Bar in Makati as the supplier of illegal drugs in the area. He surrendered 5,203 ecstacy tablets being sold for PHP2,500 each.
De Fong did not resist arrest and volunteered information on the source of the drugs, Philippine Daily Inquirer reports.
He said that the illegal substance was sourced from The Netherlands and each shipment contains 50,000 pieces.
According to De Fong, another Dutch national named Cornelius Meskars is involved. However, Meskars was already reported missing two months ago.
De Fong will face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
