PHP11 million worth of fake Jansport, North Face bags seized in Binondo raids

“The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) said that a total of 2,363 fake Jansport and The North Face bags worth PHP11 million were seized in a series of raids in Binondo, Manila during the holiday season,” reports Philstar.com.

The report noted that among the retail stores and stockrooms raided in Binondo were the Ko Tiak Peng/Gao Do Peng/Ko Lu Peng at Stall 1D-34, G/F, 168 Shopping Mall 1; Unit 6G-29, 6/F, 999 Shopping Mall; Louis Ho’s retail store and two stockrooms at Stall 1D-10, G/F, 168 Shopping Mall 1; Unit 7B-15 and Unit 7G-17, 7/F, 999 Shopping Mall 2.

The owners of the said establishments are facing charges of Trademark Infringement under the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines or Republic Act No. 8293.
