On the 28th anniversary of the EDSA Revolution, activists and netizens from different school organisations, Kabataan party list and Philippine Internet Freedom Alliance held a peaceful rally in front of the EDSA Shrine to protest RA 10175 or the Cybercrime Prevention Act.
Online, “hackers defaced Tuesday several government websites as part of the Black Tuesday protest,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com. Among the hacked websites were those of the Philippine Nuclear Research Institute, Quezon Province, Dipolog City, and Talibon, Bohol.
The hackers replaced the front page of each site with a “Pinoy Vendetta” logo and message set against a black background. Some of the sites have not yet dealt with the defacement.
