Ironically, the guy was on his way to the Manila Police District to check out some potential stories when he got mugged.

“At around 8 p.m. on Monday, January 26, photojournalist Jess Diaz, who works for Pilipino Mirror, was on his bike near the National Museum when someone behind him suddenly hit him on the face with a hard object,” reports Noel Alamar on ABS-CBNnews.com.

The report noted: “Diaz said he did not see his attacker as he immediately fell unconscious after being hit. His unidentified attacker took his bicycle, camera, and wallet containing PHP800.”
