Heads up, stamp collectors!
“The Philippine Postal Corp. (PHLPost) will issue commemorative stamps marking the 60th anniversary of Philippines-Germany diplomatic relations this month,” reports Evelyn Macairan in The Philippine Star.
According to PHLPost postmaster general Josefina de la Cruz, they have printed 80,000 copies of the stamps showing the national symbols of peace of the two countries.
The stamps feature the People Power Monument on EDSA and the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin. The 40mm x 30 mm stamps will be sold starting starting June 25 the for PHP20 and PHP40.
The report noted that “diplomatic ties between the Philippines and Germany began in 1954.”
