
TV and radio stations are required to synchronize their “time checks” with the new PST or Philippine Standard Time or face stiff penalties.
ABS CBN News reported that owners of private TV and radio stations who violate the provisions of Republic Act 10525 will have to pay a fine of P30,000-P50,000. On the second offense, their franchise to operate will be revoked and cancelled. The weather bureau, PAGASA, is the agency tasked to to set and maintain PST.
