The Philippine Science High School’s (PSHS) National Alumni Association Board of Trustees (NAA BOT) has issued a statement regarding the ongoing case of six male graduating students allegedly posting lewd photos of female schoolmates online without their consent.
In a statement posted on Facebook this morning, NAA BOT said that it is taking the issue seriously and is currently still reviewing inputs from fellow graduates of the prestigious science high school.

“We, the PSHS National Alumni Association Board of Trustees (NAA BOT), acknowledge the feedback from the alumni community regarding the current discipline case involving students from the graduating class of PSHS Main Campus,” it says on the statement. “We have been monitoring alumni forums and receiving direct inputs from fellow alumni. As such, we have taken note of all your views, opinions, and suggestions.”
The alumni association also said that their chairman holds a seat in the PSHS Board of Trustees (PSHS BOT), which is currently mulling whether or not to allow the six erring students to graduate from the institution and participate in the graduation ceremony on Wednesday.
These six students allegedly posted lewd photos of female schoolmates — some underage — without their consent as early as 2017, one of the victims’ parents told GMA News. Campus officials reportedly did not want to allow the male students to graduate but the board allegedly decided that they should be punished with community service instead.
Parents, students, and teachers, then conducted a demonstration at the PSHS main campus in Quezon City on Thursday after learning of the board’s ruling. However, Science and Technology Undersecretary Brenda Nazareth Manzano later said that the board has not reached a final decision yet, GMA News reported.
Earlier today, students, parents, and teachers staged another protest as they await the board’s final decisions. Some were carrying signs that said “stop tolerating sexual predators” and “protect your students,” according to ABS-CBN News.
