The Philippine National Railways warns that make-shift trolleys used by people who live near the train the tracks as “skates” are prohibited and are a safety risk.
“Don’t gamble with your life, you can die,” the state-owned raiway posted on the PNR Facebook page, adding that trains use the tracks all the time and might not be able to stop in time even if drivers see the small trolleys.
The PNR Metro Commuter service has sixteen stops within Metro Manila although the track goes all the way to Biñan in Laguna province. Trains leave the main stations of Alabang (Northbound) and Tutuban (Southbound) roughly every 30 minutes. Minimum fare is P10 while traveling all the way along the Tutuban-Alabang section costs P25.
