Actress Alma Moreno, currently a Parañaque City councilor, is the national chair of the Philippine Councilors’ League (PCL).
Now, the PCL is giving her some love as members expressed their support for Moreno, who is running for senator in the 2016 elections under the United Nationalist Alliance of Vice President Jejomar Binay.
This is perceived as the group’s response to Moreno’s now-infamous interview with Karen Davila on ANC’s Headstart.

“The PCL passed a resolution urging its members to support Moreno’s senatorial bid,” reports Helen Flores in The Philippine Star.
The report noted: “The PCL has 15,000 councilor-members in 1,634 cities and municipalities in the country.”
