It’s not a highly popular sport in our country, but it’s responsible for our medal haul.
On Tuesday, Sep 23, Daniel Parantac won a silver in the men’s tajiquan event in wushu at the Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea.

On Wednesday, Sep 24, Jean Claude Saclag also won a silver in the men’s 60-kilogram category sanda event in wushu.
“The country’s third medal was a bronze courtesy of Francisco Solis in the men’s 56-kilogram category sanda event in wushu,” reports Frank C. Calapre on SunStar.com.ph.
The Asian Games started on Sep 19 and will last until Oct 4, 2014.
The wushu wins bring the Philippines’ total medal to three.
