The Traffic Index for Country 2015 Mid-Year Report done by Numbeo.com tells us something that we already know. The Philippines has one of the world’s worst traffic problems. But, oh, we’re not No. 1.
Numbeo explained that they did the ranking based on “a composite index of time consumed in traffic due to job commute, estimation of time consumption dissatisfaction, CO2 consumption estimation in traffic and overall inefficiencies in the traffic system.”
That said, here are the Top 10 Places in the World with the Worst Traffic Woes with their traffic index scores:
1. Egypt – 284.51.
2. South Africa – 215.34
3. Thailand – 211.86
4. Iran – 202.90
5. Philippines – 201.31
6. Turkey – 198.61
7. Russia – 195.51
8. India – 195.02
9. Brazil – 194.29
10. Argentina – 186.46
