A fire razed a Davao City neighborhood to the ground on Tuesday afternoon.
One resident, who left his pet snake behind, went back for it two hours later and found the python still alive.
According to a report in SunStar Davao, the unidentified resident found his pet coiled up and alive in his aquarium.
About 100 houses were destroyed in the fire and one person died, but the snake turned out just fine, although the owner could not explain when asked by SunStar how the snake survived.
Lesson: Don’t underestimate the snakes in our lives.
