The Philippines is a predominantly Catholic country and the upcoming Holy Week is one of the most awaited religious holidays of the faithful. It falls on Mar 20 (Palm Sunday) to Mar 26 (Black Saturday) this year. Mar 27 is, of course, Easter Sunday.
But while there are those who want to use the time for reflection, there are also those who want to take advantage of the holiday for other activities such as chilling out in an out-of-town resort.
The Roheim Farm and Resort in the town of San Fabian in Pangasinan may be the perfect destination for those who don’t want to feel too guilty about not engaging in hardcore spiritually-enriching endeavors.
You see, the resort is Bible-themed. The 25-hectare property boasts of features such as giant replicas of the two tablets for The Ten Commandments. There’s also Jacob’s Well, The Garden of Gethsemane, The Pool of Siloam, and The Rock of Horeb. The pool also has a large whale (seems to be made of concrete, but we’re not sure) in reference to the creature that swallowed Jonah.
The ANC feature on the resort also revealed that it’s situated close to the Mary Help of Christians Theology Seminary.
