If this means more jobs for Pinoys, then it’s a good thing.
“In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE), Pepsi-Cola Products Philippines Inc said it is investing P650 million to set up a snack food manufacturing facility in the country,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.
The report noted: “PCPPI is the exclusive bottler of PepsiCo beverages in the country, with brands such as Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Mirinda, Gatorade, and Tropicana.”
In their new venture, however, Pepsi said it is “planning to build a local manufacturing facility that would allow it to produce, sell, and distribute snack foods in the Philippines.”
PCPPI wants to make its snack project happen by the second half of 2015.
No word yet on where the facility will be located.
