In an example of humans being bros, a policeman warmed the internet’s hearts after posting a photo of him playing chess with an inmate who was literally behind bars.

PCpl Arman Louie Buban, who works at the Sorsogon Police Provincial Office, went viral for posting a photo of himself and a detainee engrossed in a game, with the caption, “No walls can separate us from being a chess player.”

Buban said in an interview with Pilipino Star Ngayon Digital that as the president of a chess club in his local municipality of Magallanes, he believes everyone is equal when it comes to the chess board. “I want to promote the game of chess for everyone, regardless of wealth, employment status, age, or background,” he said.

He also shared that he always asks newly arrived inmates whether they know how to play chess.
