PCGG going after 144 paintings owned by Marcos family

Let’s make it clear: These paintings are in addition to the ones that were already seized by the government recently.

“The Presidential Commission on Good Government (PCGG) believes that the family of the late President Ferdinand Marcos is still in possession of even more works of art from artists such as Pablo Picasso, Camille Pissarro, and Pierre Bonnard which are all part of their ill-gotten wealth,” reports ANC.

The report noted: “As many as 144 more expensive paintings—all believed to have been acquired by the Marcos family using “ill-gotten wealth”—have yet to be found.”

We can’t quite wrap our brains around that.

For now, though, the PCGG still has to locate the said paintings.
