PBA Tuesday double-header: Gin Kings face Bolts; Talk N Text, Globalport square off

After disappointing outcome the past two seasons, the PBA’s darlings are proving they still got what it takes to be on top of the league.

“Resurgent Barangay Ginebra battles Meralco tonight with Mark Caguioa expected to face another all-out shootout with Gary David after an exciting duel with Globalport rookie Terrence Romeo,” reports Philstar.com.

Coming off from an injury last season, Caguioa is rallying the Gin Kings to sustain one of its best starts in recent memory as they face the Bolts at 8:00 P.M. at Mall of Asia Arena.

Opening Tuesday’s double-header is the game between three-time defending champions Talk N Text and the up and coming Globalport.

The Batang Pier’s campaign this season got a shot in the arm after landing Far Eastern University’s backcourt duo of Terrence Romeo and RR Garcia. Romeo and Garcia, who steered FEU to a Final Four finish this year, willed Batang Pier in their last game against the Gin Kings, but Barangay Ginebra’s experience and composure helped them to secure the win.

The Batang Pier duo will face the Texters veteran backcourt tandem in Jason Castro and Jimmy Alapag, whose gutsy plays steered Gilas Pilipinas into the FIBA World Cup Qualifier early this year.
