“The family of slain car racer Enzo Pastor have offered PHP1 million to anyone who can help police arrest his widow, Dalia, and her alleged lover, businessman Sandy de Guzman,” reports Robertzon Ramirez in The Philippine Star.
Dalia and De Guzman are accused of hiring a hitman, Police Officer 2 Edgar Angel, to kill Enzo. They have been in hiding since a Regional Trial Court in Quezon City issued a warrant for their arrest last month.
Enzo’s mother, Remy, said the reward money was pooled from contributions made by friends and family.
During a press conference in Quezon City, Remy said, “It has been one month (since the arrest warrant was issued) and nothing happened. A lot of my friends are telling me that they have spotted the two somewhere.”
The report noted: “Remy pointed out that offering a reward would intensify efforts to catch the suspects, just like what happened to alleged hitman Angel after Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte offered PHP1 million for his arrest.”
Angel is facing charges of murder and frustrated murder in connection with the attack on Pastor and his aide last year.
